Mrs. Carrie B. Porritt, 88, of 4044 Lapeer Rd, Route 1, Pontiac, died at 4:40a.m., Monday, Dec 10, at her home. She was the widow of William Porritt.

Born December 25, 1862, in Newark, Ohio, she was the daughter of J. R. Freiner and Eliza Thompson. She married to Mr. Porritt in Orion Township on Mar 26, 1885.

Mrs. Porritt has resided there for 65 years and was a member of the Howarth Methodist church and the W. S. C. S. of the church.

Surviving are one son, Russell W., Route 1, Pontiac; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services were held at 2:00 p. m. Thursday in the Howarth Methodist church, the Rev Herbert Hausser offciating. Burial was in Perry Mount Park Cemetery.

The body remained at Allen's Funeral Home until Tuesday morning and was then taken to the home of the son, 3340 E. Silverbell Road.
